This oval planter is made with a dark gray clay and fired to vitrification.  It includes drainage holes and anchoring holes.  It is frost proof under almost all conditions (the same as your bonsai). Interior depth of roughly 2 inches. The planter pictured is 12" x 9". The ratio of width to length is roughly 4:3 for all sizes.



Please note that the planter is made from raw clay and unglazed, it therefore has some natural variations in tone. The clay can appear closer to a dark brown in certain artificial light, and more gray in natural light. The clay can also appear lighter from one batch of clay to the next. I make every effort to ensure it is as dark as possible. I have had some batches replaced by the supplier for this reason. The clay does have a warm tone, so is not a gray that  is devoid of subtler tones.



Custom made bonsai planters also available, fitting your specifications and made to order. Handmade on the wheel or built by slabs, these pieces can be adjusted to your particular plant. I can make round, oval, and rectangular planters made one at a time.  I also offer matching trays to fit under the piece.

Pottery is a tariff free category under the USMCA free trade agreement and when shipped I provide a certificate of origin to American authorities to ensure that no import taxes are applied.
